Silent Spring Sites

The importance of been informed

The primary aim of the site, just like the book, is to inform as many people as possible about the possible dangers of the various man-made chemicals around us.

The numbers of chemicals that are been introduced into our environment are not decreasing over time. Their numbers are increasing everyday and they are becoming more integrated into our lives. Most are safe but a small minority escape detection and become a danger to us all.

In light of this we can’t afford to remain ignorant of the changes that are occurring around us. By having more knowledge about what is happening in our local environment we put ourselves in a position to make better lifestyle choices. Choices that could determine shape of our futures.

Here is a list of other sites with important information about the current state of our chemical environment. There is a blog related to Silent Spring that has a lot of information about the current developments in the field of environmental pollution. But you can never be too informed. Visit the sites, read the books and flick through the resources, get more informed and put yourself in a position to make better lifestyle choices.
