What we aim to do
Our aim is to provide information in a simple and easy to understand format about the current state of our local chemical environment. We now have no option but to accept that we live in a world that is completely immersed in chemicals. Nearly everything we touch and interact with is either made out of synthetic chemicals (polycarbonate, PVC, polystyrene etc...) or they are covered with chemicals (fire retardants, preservatives etc...). The water we drink and the foods we eat are also often contaminated with chemicals. Even the most natural aspects of our surroundings are covered with trace amounts of chemicals that we have accidently or deliberately released into the environment.

Thousands of new chemicals are produced every year and only a small percentage of them are rigorously tested. But even the most rigorous tests can't predict the environmental impact any one chemical will have on the environment not to mention how it might behave within a milieu of other chemicals. Behind every progress there is a considerable risk. We can't possibly know all the risks involved in the introduction of a new chemical into the environment.
Within this sea of chemicals there is no real escape. All we can try to do is to stay afloat and attempt to navigate our way across it safely. And the only way we can hope to do this is by making sure that we are properly informed about the state of our local environment.
What you need to do
Remember always keep abreast of developments in the field of environmental chemical pollutants. The issue is one that is extremely close to us all. It affects our personal well-being and it affects all those around us. It is not an issue we can afford to take lightly. So remember, read books, listen to the news and look up all you can on the Web about what chemicals are dangerous, which ones to watch out for and tips on how to avoid those that are difficult to avoid.
There is going to be a blog detailing the newest developments in the field of environmental chemical pollutants and a monthly news letter for anyone who wants to keep informed.
